Area Parks

 

G.O.R.C. Park

·     From Rt. 175, take Rt. 170 south (Piney Orchard Parkway) 1.2 miles to the light at Waugh Chapel Rd

·     Follow Waugh Chapel Rd for 0.8 miles and turn right at the light on Strawberry Lake Way

·     Follow Strawberry Lake Way for 1 mile and turn left in the Odenton Recreation Area parking lot.

·     Playground is on the right.

Bell Branch Park

·     Take your best route to Rt. 3 south

·     Make a right onto Rt. 3 south and follow for 1.7 miles to the light at Rt. 424

·     Make a left onto Rt. 424 and follow for approximately 3.5 miles,

·     Until you see Bell Branch Athletic Complex on the right (Past the Rt. 450 interchange and the fire station.)

·     Make a right into the park and follow the road straight back to the playground

BWI/Friendship Park

·     Take Rt. 170 north 5.2 miles to the light at Rt. 176 (Dorsey Rd.)

·     Make a right onto Dorsey Rd. and follow 1.7 miles

·     (just past the Krupnick Contractors, Inc, building on the right.)

·     Make a right into the parking lot. Playground is at the back of the lot.

Burba Lake New Playground #1

·     Take Rt. 175 west for 1.6 miles to the light at Llewellyn Ave and Blue Water Blvd.

·     (there is a Radio Shack on the corner)

·     Turn left on Llewellyn Ave and follow approx. 0.7 miles (go through the stop sign at Ernie Pyle St.)

·     After passing the Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center on the left,

·     the playground will be a little further down the road on your left.

Burba Lake Playground #2

·     Take Rt. 175 west for 1.6 miles to the light at Llewellyn Ave and Blue Water Blvd

·     (there is a Radio Shack on the corner)

·     Turn left on Llewellyn Ave and follow approx. 0.7 miles (go through the stop sign at Ernie Pyle St.)

·     Make a right on McKay St., playground is on the right, parking is on the street.

Crofton Park

·     Take your best route to Rt. 3 south

·     Make a right onto Rt. 3 south and follow for 1.7 miles to the light at Rt. 424

·     Turn left onto Rt. 424 and follow for 1.7 miles until you see the sign for Crofton Park on the left.

·     Turn left into the park and follow straight back to the parking lot and playground.

Kinder Farm Park (Park is closed on Tuesdays)

·     Take your best route to Rt. 97 north (toward Baltimore)

·     Take exit 10 (Veteran's Highway - Benfield Blvd.) and turn left onto Veteran's Hwy.

·     Turn right at the next light onto Benfield Blvd. (it turns into Benfield Rd) and follow for 2.2 miles

·     Make a left onto Jumper's Hole Rd., follow for 1.2 miles

·     Make a left into Kinder Farm Park and follow the road straight back, playground is on the left.

Lake Waterford Park (Pasadena)

·     Take your best route to Rt. 100 east

·     Follow Rt. 100 east to the Rt. 10 south split (toward Rt. 2 south - Annapolis)

·     Follow Rt. 10 0.3 miles to Rt. 2 south, Ritchie Hwy. (Severna Park - Annapolis)

·     Take a left at the light onto Ritchie Hwy. and go 0.4 mile to the next light

·     Make a left at the light onto Pasadena Rd and follow for 0.9 mile

·     The park is on the left past the elementary school

Piney Orchard Community/Visitor Center Playground

·     Take your best route to Rt. 170 south (Piney Orchard Parkway)

·     Turn left onto Stream Valley Drive

·     Follow around to the Community/Visitor Center and park in that parking lot

·     Playground is behind the building

·     Piney Orchard Island Playground

·     Take your best route to Rt. 170 south (Piney Orchard Parkway)

·     Turn left onto Strawberry Lake Way

·     Follow past the Island Pool and turn right immediately past the pool and park in the parking lot

·     Playground is behind the parking lot

Piney Orchard Rotary Playground

·     Take your best route to Rt. 170 south (Piney Orchard Parkway)

·     Turn right onto Strawberry Lake Way

·     Follow circle around to the Rotary Swimming Pool and park in that parking lot

·     Playground is along the path behind the pool area
